ALESSANDRO POLITI

Has a degree in computer engineering. After having conducted many cabaret competitions (among which the 2001 Gran Pavese in Bologna), Alessandro acted in the popular movie Un Amore Perfetto, with Cesare Cremonini and Martina Stella. Later on, he collaborated with Alessandro Greco and Federica Panicucci, in the same year, in the production of the program Una Canzone per te and, with Greco and Laura Freddi, in Portami al mare e fammi sognare.
In 2003 he began to work with the Artistic Laboratory of Zelig, appearing in Zelig OFF during the 2004/2005 season introducing his character of the magician Martin Scozzese, weird illusionist, self-defined “Grande Mago” for his skills; who doesn’t speak much but when he does speak, he has a very bad British accent, and introduced by the notes of “Brave Scotland” performs his magic under the laughing eyes of Claudio Bisio and Vanessa Incontrada, who are then pushed off stage “for courtesy”. In the 2006 season of Zelig Circus this character was the audience’s most beloved, so much so that the famous critic Aldo Grasso wrote about him in the Corriere della Sera.
In 2007 he begins a cinematographic career joining the Accademia del Cinema di Delaurentiis in Roma. In 2008 his first dramatic short movie where he’s the main character: Diario di un Serial Killer, directed by Antonio Bonifacio.
The following May he’s awarded a Guinness title for having performed 13 magic tricks under water.
